
The past few months have seen the creative director shakeup shift into an almost unprecedented gear. Brands big and small across the fashion landscape have enacted the termination of major contracts as they teeter on the edge of announcing new ones. While the prospect of, say, Jonathan Anderson taking the entire helm of Dior is plenty attention-grabbing, one announcement stuck out. Last month, amidst all the industry tumult, a heavily sourced rumor emerged that Proenza Schouler designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez would soon join the LVMH fold to take over lead duties at Loewe. Shortly thereafter, the duo formally departed their own label. The befuddled reactions have not stopped since.
