That’s a huge amount of work, to be designing both the men’s and women’s collections for Dior. I suspect he’ll either succeed spectacularly, or flame out (also spectacularly) after a few seasons.💕

It is truly wild! A Herculean effort, no doubt. I totally agree with your assessment. I really don't know which direction it'll go just yet.

I’m excited to see what he brings to Dior…not a Maria Grazia Chiuri fan, I think she plays it safe and is a lazy designer

I think I question her taste above everything else. Her clothes are incredibly costume-y in a very unflattering way.

This could be verrrry interesting! I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment of JA's potential and the challenges ahead. He needs to take a page out of Sarah Burton's debut at Givenchy, in terms of balancing his own magic with the weighty and venerable heritage of Monsieur Dior. (I was going to say Haider Ackermann at Tom Ford as well, but that is another kettle of sexy sushi in a black-lacquer room.)

Interesting you mention Burton! I was thinking of doing something on her debut, but ended up deciding against it. I wasn't wild about it though I know that several big critics seemed quite enamored.
