i've been attempting to go on a tina chow deepdive and would love to know more about her but the internet's not been super helpful - any books or resources to recommend?
Happy to help! I've loved and researched her for years, and you're very right that it is difficult to find good information on her from easy-to-find/available sources. "Lost Angel," an article written for NY Mag about her life and death, is a great place to start and the full PDF can be found here: https://www.mgross.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Tina-Chow3.pdf
In terms of books, "Flair" is a spectacular catalog of her vintage collection exhibited at FIT in the '90s. Pricey these days, but if you can get your hands on it, it's incredible and worth saving forever.
The "Dressed" podcast also has an episode on her. It's good if a bit more on the introductory side.

"Ciao, Tina," an article written for Vanity Fair in April 1992 is another great piece. It can be found here: https://archive.vanityfair.com/article/1992/4/ciao-tina
